Wedding couple: Tom Moody + Kristen Muller | 2018 Winter wedding | Chicago suburban wedding photography
Tom + Kristen marked the first wedding of the year for Corfias Films and it was such a FUN perfect wedding day. The ceremony and reception were held at the Haight, a unique venue in Elgin decorated with little lights hung from the ceiling. There are tons of unique artwork. Our favorite was the “CHEERS” sign on the wall which made a perfect backdrop for group pictures. Candles, ceiling lights, and spot lights against dark wooden walls gave it a romantic cozy feeling. The weather was a dream for early March – 40 degree sunny day with just a little breeze. We were outside for half an hour and no one froze! 😉
There were too many moments we absolutely adored throughout the day. Before Kristen got into her dress, a moment shared with her mother was powerful and heartfelt as both remembered the recent passing of her dad. Both the bride and mom secretly made a pin with his picture as gift for each other in his memory. They were pinned to Kristen’s beautiful bouquet. What a wonderful way to have her dad by her side all day.
Kristen and Tom are fans of craft beer. Immediately after their joyful first look, Tom surprised her with their favorite beer from Indianapolis, the place where their love story began. Surrounded by artwork and brick walls, there were plenty of nice backgrounds for pictures. Just down the block was a river which gave us endless options as well.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful under the hundreds of ceiling lights and surrounded by flickering candles. The night couldn’t be more romantic. While the couple had a blast…we must admit that grandpa was ripping the floor apart!
Enjoy the sneak peak of their day. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Moody!!! Wishing you both forever in happiness!
